Bring Ukrainian Children Back.
Help Them Heal.

We provide psychological support, advocate for the return of deported children, and help them rebuild their lives.

WHY THIS IS URGENT

  • Loss of family and loved ones

Thousands of children have lost parents or been separated from their families.

  • War trauma and displacement

Children live with fear, trauma, and uncertainty caused by the war.

  • Forced deportation and re-education

Tens of thousands of children have been illegally deported to Russia and forced into re-education camps.

  • Lack of long-term psychological support

Many children don't have access to the care they need to heal and recover.

RAISE UA. REAL SUPPORT. REAL IMPACT.

Raise.UA was created by the Ukrainian Canadian Advocacy Group (UCAG) in response to the unprecedented scale of war-related trauma among Ukrainian children. It was developed as a dedicated UCAG initiative to address the growing mental health and psychosocial needs of children affected by Russia’s war against Ukraine.

We built something for the children. Not a one-time fix, but an ecosystem - steady, growing, and designed to help them heal and rise.
For four years, we've done this work systematically - refining it, deepening it, growing it with every child we reached.

HOW IT WORKS

  • Accommodation + Food

Accommodation in the recreational area of the Carpathian Mountains and four nutritious meals per day. Meals are designed to suit each child’s individual needs and specially developed by a nutritionist to support nervous system recovery.

  • Psychological support

Evidence-based recovery that combines clinical-grade biofeedback from the Netherlands with somatic psychotherapy from Denmark, then layer in Art, Game, Storytelling, and Dance Therapy so children can work through trauma from both the body and the mind. Every child’s progress is measured before and after, so support is real, not assumed.

  • Traveling

Excursions and sightseeing, including mountain hikes, visits to the zoo, cheese factory, Hutsul Land Bukovel, and DinoPark, as well as other adventures in the Carpathians. Three educational excursions to the Ukrainian Carpathians help children learn more about their history and ancestors.

  • Activities

A variety of activities including English lessons, Active Play, Acrobatics, Sports, Dance Therapy, and Drama Classes. Skilled counselors help children develop new skills, leadership, creativity, and confidence through drawing, beadwork, pottery, and other activities.
